Lets keep things civil folks. Feel free to discuss the delay but stay away from name calling and other shit.
It's been about a week since i've had to clear this up, guess it's that time again.I haven't given support for this game yet, so I don't feel like I have a right to complain about release times, etc... but I would like to say that it's pretty obvious what the dev's intentions are at this point in my opinion. Going from a few months to release a chapter update to an expected year and a half now... games are supposed to become easier to make as the years go by on the same engine / assets due to PC hardware upgrades, dev experience, etc... not more difficult.
There's nothing Hunter's happy time tea can't fixStop fighting, lets just accept it is what it is. If you pay for the game and is mad.. Unpledge and wait for the game to be uploaded here or ask for a refund. If you don't pay don't complain. Can we discuss about the game instead?
Who else can't wait to see Drew x Ophelia. How do you think Drew will manipulate Ophelia to get out of the chastity belt?
The point you're making is only valid to a small degree. I could very easily direct you to several devs who have been consistently releasing over 1000 render updates (not including animations) in just 4 - 6 months. A year and a half... I'm sorry, but what excuse is there for that? It's been about a week since i've had to clear this up, guess it's that time again.
The cycles get longer because the game gets bigger. look at this post and the post i linked in it. it breaks down why updates take longer.

How do I know if you aren't in it too!?!?! /JKFayn was timed out here so that's one of 3 supporters I know of here not being able to participate.
On the discord most people are disappointed but sympathetic to WWG. Also one person confirmed they got their refund so april fools hopium is looking to be dead.
Ha. No.WWG should pause billing in patreon till release. This would help him regain his reputation

If he's claiming that he's running into difficulties, it's likely code for un-interest, burnout or something far worse... the word everyone hates seeing at F95... milk. (Also, offering refunds on Patreon doesn't negate milking intentions as the majority of supporters don't even pay attention at all, only pausing donations negate it)
This is the very reason why I very rarely support a dev until the game is either finished or well on it's way to being finished (or the story is so good that I'm ok with the price in the game's current state which is extremely rare).
Purely speculating here but WWG leaves writing until last and given the expected size of the update that could be a big issue. It already takes a long time based on last update but so much at once could be draining/ cause writers block.IDK if anyone noticed but there is another thing I don't get I don't know if it's another lie or maybe Iam getting things wrong.
In his latest status update, he said things were slowing down since December, but in the status before that, he literally said this
(( I'll let you know if anything comes up. I've been working non-stop on the update and my brain feels like I've taken a cheese grater to it. ))
How come he was working non stop on the update then he's back saying things were slowed down this shit drives me crazy.
I know we all make mistakes sometimes, but this is just a straight-up fat lies at this point, Again a delay by a week or even two would have been fine things happen I get it, But when you were saying you were working hard and it's coming in a couple of days then suddenly saying I wasn't working hard and it's not coming before a couple more month's is so disrespectful towards fans and people who trusted him.
i think the most concerning part (for me at least) is it goes from possible this month to a few months. Maybe they just want to give it a large window so people dont get antsy until the release is more final. either way back to waiting, plenty of other games to play till then. Here are all the status update posts from WWG's patreon for the last few chapters. This took me a little while to compile, so hopefully it's of use as a reference:

I will admit there's a pattern in the updates so far this year which does not instill confidence. I will continue to support WWG at this time, but I am concerned to say the least.
nop, nothing in at least a couple months, that what she/he saidso next month we can get the next update?
This doesn't make sense. He gets a refund less than 24 hours after request for refund even though the post said 5-7 days, and when banks are closed. Even if he used a credit card it still takes a couple of days. I worked retail and had to do card refunds and they are never this quick. Also one person confirmed they got their refund so april fools hopium is looking to be dead.
Kinda sucks, it would be the ultimate dick move even to his supporters (unless he disclosed that one before hand) but I agree. If it was me doing a prank like this, I would wait release April 1st. A good joke requires commitment.
As others have pointed out, WWG is not great at estimating when he'll be finished, but long time supporters (like me) are used to that and have accepted it. What's different this time is that WWG is NOT saying that he underestimated his remaining work. Questions like "how did one month of work turn into three?" are misinterpreting this situation. What he IS saying is that real life problems are getting in his way. He needs TIME to work on the game, but he doesn't know when he'll HAVE that time.i think the most concerning part (for me at least) is it goes from possible this month to a few months. Maybe they just want to give it a large window so people dont get antsy until the release is more final. either way back to waiting, plenty of other games to play till then.
