Not sure about discord but anyone who thinks criticism isn't allowed here hasn't read the last I don't know how many pages. It's been filled with little else.

Well in this thread at least you have a mix of everything. Amigos who love everything about the game, amigos who like the game but still are realist and critic, and disapointed amigos.
I don't know what's happening in the discord and i don't want to go there
There's a tiny bit of difference, Braindrop had delivered to that point where he had to stop, without missing a single releasse date, well he did miss one, but just one and by a week or so, now when he got to delay his update, he paussed his patreon, something that didn't happened here and talked about what was happening, etc. So it's way easier to trust a dev that never "failed" his player base and that communicated quite a lot, than a dev that doesn't comunnicate well, that has missed multiple deadlines and that has this happening after the release of the game, if Braindrop had took his time after v0.1 people would have complained like in here, but he had proven himself to be trustworthy and even listen to the comunity, Alorth and SirD can't really say the same.
But whatever, I know you will be defending them because you are a fanboy, no matter even the argument we give you will always defend them or ignore the reply, so whatever, if you think this is the holy grial of the porn games, then good for you.

Nobody is asking anyone to say exactly what happened ...you know just issue a statement "we had a difficult year with a few personal problems and other etc. so on. etc again."
Better to be honest than not answering since not answering can be perceived as a answer.
In the discord, you got amigos that say yes to everything the dev says and don't offer criticism, and if they do, the devs tell them to just wait a bit to see more and they are on board with everything they do and forget about the criticism they offered, so maybe the dev based the way the MC complied to the cop in his interactions with his fanboys on discord, now all makes senseWell in this thread at least you have a mix of everything. Exactly. They don't speak as harshly here, but there is a consensus on Discord from the comments I've seen and discussions I've been part of, that nobody likes Glenn, there's understandable trepidation about his character, and there are those who would rather he be gone.
So it's not that there's no dissent on Discord, it's just more civil than it is here.
Honestly, what's the point of getting this worked up? So you don't like something in the game, fine, I don't like it either, but the girls are still hot and the relationship story with them is intriguing and engaging and at the end of the day, that's all that matters. Everything else is just fodder.
It's a double-edged sword; you can not tell people and get abuse because they don't know the full story, or you can tell people but still risk getting abuse from people who don't care and think you're just making excuses. They're choosing to take the middle ground of not saying anything and just soldiering on, and given the recent tone of this thread, I think they're right not say anything because it's not likely to change a lot of people's harsh opinions.

Dude the cop is in your property, the game is based on USA way of deal with the law, so just based on him trespassing your property, you are in the right and he is in the wrong, because htere was no illegal thign occurring, so he is harrasing and trespassing you property. But if you don't want to deal with him, just turn back to inside your property and call the cops, is easy as fuck and everything that the MC do in that sceneraio is in the legal way of doing things. Now it seems that dealing with a problem or with a guy that harasses you because reasons whiole being off duty, and calling the cops or saying no to him is not being smart, but sayign yes sir here you go my id, do you want somehing else? my wallet? my car? is being smart and just bidding your time to later deal with him. It's dumb as fuck, and I have seen plenty of dumb moves in porn games, but that is probably one of the dumbest and poorly wirten interaction I have ever seen, and you still defend it, even after complaining yourself about it, if that's not fanboying...you should get an honored mention in the next update, a picture with your photo in one of the scenes and under it, the "most loyal fanboy of our game".
The not telling to the people because they will think it will sound like an excuse, it's because the time to do that has passed, when you start having problems, you should be truthfull with your paying customers, if you don't say anything people will assume many things, if you still don't say anything after that and keep missing deadlines, people will think that anything you say is BS, because there is no way to know if they are telling the truth or not, because they didn't comunicate really well with the player base.
OF COURSE he knows he's being harassed. That's not the point. The point is whether or not he can prove it, lacking witnesses, and against a cop who likely knows whatever cop he could call. The odds aren't great there.
It's reasonable to say "I don't have time to deal with this shit" and move on as quickly as possible. Rather than treating every hill as a possible gravesite.
Speaking of which, this hill is pretty shitty, not much grass, and no trees. I'm going to go find a better one, but you can go ahead and dig yourself a grave if you like.
As pointless/ridiculous the cop scene seems in general...At the end of the day, it's nothing but a game. So cut the devs some slack

It's not "defending it" to say "just give it time" or "it's just a porn game", it's simply an acknowledgement that there's nothing I can do about it, so why bother getting worked up over it?
It is what it is. Accept it and move on. You'll feel better when you stop worrying so much about it.

People are whining about one or the other that our MC is or isn't or should oir should not have done. Well..he does both. So all those idots saying...oh he can't be macho...he'd be dragged to the station blah wah...literally the start of the conversation is the MC being hostile and taking no shit.
As for digging holes...I ain't digging anything buddy as I can see from every angle exactly how deep the hole is and how dumb it is. Now, if this was something like a Russian game....simple fuck your daughters game...I doubt anyone would care...they know what to expect.

In discord they are more "civil" because if you say anything even remote to a complaint that don't sit well with the devs, you got banned and or silenced, post removed, etc, so the harsh answers just got deleted there, so you don't see them, it isn't much that they don't exist, but that they mod it there to not seeing it.
The thing is that I'm an inmersive player, and when dealing with porn logic like girls suddently liking the MC without reasons, it strectches the believability of the game but I can still deal with it because porn logic, but when we are forced to deal with a badd writen plot and we can't do anything to stop it, it breaks my inmersion, so it doesn't matter that the girls are hot, the quality of the renders isn't the problem, it just that dumb plots and poorly writen characters in a game that tries to seel itself like better than average, and tries to be somewhat realistic, having a plot point like the cop out of nowhere breaks the inmersion for me. If I can't inmerse I don't enjoy the game to the fullest, so it become a problem. Now if you only see the pretty pictures and you don't care for the story then, by all means enjoy it, but you can't say that you love the story when you have a glaring plot hole like the cop there. It doesn't really help that the expectation for the update was pretty high and when I finished it in 1 hour I was pretty dissapointed with it, that plus the cop...
You mean 3 new girls out of nowhere joining and ALL of them thinking "He is so handsome and charming, I'd love to get to know him better and get into his pants!" isn't immersive? O_O

I like immersive games with a dose of some realism too, in fact they're the ones I prefer, but even the best ones still have a few things that break the immersion and seem unrealistic, so nothing is perfect. It's in the moments like this where the best thing to do is just accept that it's porn logic, written by an amateur, and that as long as the girls are smoking hot and we get a healthy dose of action and relationship building with them, then that's all that matters.
