This isn't just a guy claiming to be a cop, this is MC's neighbor who he knows for a fact is a cop. Very different situation. What does being in the right get him? Late for work? Possible issues with clients. Generally shit that isn't worth the trouble. Instead he cooperates and just leaves it to deal with later *because it is not important to him*. Taking a grand stand in every situation is not the sign of a "winner" it's the sign of an idiot with too much time on his hands.

Not dealing with a problem that could be solved just calling the cops and instead waiting to deal with it later is the sign of an idiot with too much time on his hands. If your neighbour who you know is a cop, stops you without being on duty and ask your id without reasons in your property, harrasing you, you deal with it now, so later he can't bring you problems, if you comply to him, he later can bring you more problems, instead if you call the cops and report him to the cops, anything that he tries later to you becomes nule, because he is clearly in the wrong in that situation and if reported while doing illegal things, then everything you as cop try to bring on the guy that demanded you becomes nule.

I'm not saying the MC should be rude to the cop, he should just say no to give his id, because he has no reason to and if the cop keeps pestering him there then call the real cops, yeah you will be late to work or other things, but you will have then deal with a future huge problem in a really civiliced way, without showing the MC as a retard.

WVM is one of the most disapointing "top" game here.

You're not really making a convincing argument....
I would rather play 30-45min every 2 weeks than play ....1 and half hours or 2h every 7 months...
I'm not saying this with ill intent ..or to mock you ...or to be rude...and if you do feel I said it in that way I do apologize, but I think I would rather get smaller updates more frequent that large-ish updates every half a year

That comparison is neither sound nor fair. Brain also had to deal with personal problems and has only been able to put out 5 updates over the last months (more specifically since April 1st, the 0.1 update of Radiant). If anything one should compare the turnaround time of the next update(s) to his. Which would still be unfair (see below).

WVM before the break updated a full chapter with more than 900 renders without including animations in 1,5-2 months, so you aren't really making a good point. This last two updates of WVM was the dev getting a good feeling again while working and he also had to deal with covid and still released, so yeah, again, not a good point. The 4 month update of WVM would be around 1600 renders with or without animation and the update of radiant took 7 months to do 700 still renders plus animations, so yeah again,m not a good point, even if they could do that in 4 months, still won't be a good point.

As has been mentioned before way back when this thread was less toxic: Brain simply isn't the norm. They're an outlier, having literally poured their life into updating their game. Taking the one dev whose speed is rivaled by none to showcase how other devs failed to deliver is also not a good point.

You just described this game. The MC killed a woman's child and even she seems to want his dick. All the girls we have seem want him as well, that is what a harem game is. As for the dick of this MC, I have no idea I didn't fuck the ugly crazy girl and don't remember what his dick size is(or even care for that matter).

As for the cop:

1 and 2. The this is a porn game doesn't work, because even in porn games they use the realism approach in every things that isn't relationships with the girls. There is no way that anyone will even pay attention to a guy saying he is a "cop" and asking for our id, in civilian clothes, with his civilian car, showing no badge, being in my property and doing illegal things. If some cop did this I will go call the real cops and denunce him, nt saying yes to everything he say, it's dumb and kills the inmersion. If a "cop" do this in real life, you will say no to him and if he insist call the police, because you are doing nothing wrong.

So it's not a "he is kind of a bad guy I don't want to deal with", but a case of "There is no way this is even real, this guy is dumb as fuck and the MC agreeing to all he says is even dumber", I could literally feel how I got dumber reading that retard scene, because there's no way that will work in even a shitty movie or a bad fanfic, people can be reaterded but the MC, a succesfull guy, have the most retarded guy trophy, after the "cop" that's it. If the cop was on duty and in the middle of a road or if the MC did anything illegal I could understand him asking for the id and the MC agreeing, otherwise it's called bad writing. And no the it's only the beggining let's see how this develop doesn't work, because it is already a bad point with an unbelievable start that kills inmersion and now we will be forced to deal with this dumb plot because reasons, instead of the MC saying No to him in that scene and calling the real cops to deal with that lunatic guy who is harrasing you and demanding things while off duty and in my property, seems legit.

So yeah the cop thing, doesn't stretch believability a bit, it just simply broke the believability by the absurd of the situation, and the worst thing is that the devs doesn't even want to listen to the complaint about a bad introduced plot, that breaks the inmersion and the believability of it, that is already stretched by the others thing in the game. And you defense keeps being, "just wait to see where this bad and dumb plot goes before complainint, it's only v 0.2". If you got a fire you put it out, you don't stand there saying "well let's see where this goes", even the people in their discord and patreons complained about it and in that place there are many people that only say yes to everything that devs do and that defend everything even if they are wrong, like you do, so if even them complained about the bad character, why they keep him in? the only answer would be that he is an important piece to the game, but you have also said that he isn't so, why is a bad plot and poorly writen character there?

Seriously, play 200+ of these VNs/games like I have and you'll find that there's not a lot of realism in them and there are lots of side characters, antagonist characters, etc, who behave in ways that seem very unrealistic and then go read the comments and you'll find that most people don't give a fuck because, as long as the main LIs are hot and are given decent characterisation, then that's all that matters to most folks.

Honestly, trying to argue so vociferously about "realism" in these games is like trying to argue about realism in porn in general. If porn was realistic, then we'd all be pizza delivery guys or plumbers fucking lonely, busty housewives daily.

The cop did, stopping MC in his property, illegaly at that, harassing a civilian in his property, while being off duty, without showing a badge and asking for id, which he should already know since they are neighbours. In all that the cop is on the wrong, in fact, the MC could even go inside his property and call the cops, if this cop tries something, well, you are in your property an someone just got inside so you got the law on your back, not him. Complying to give your id in that situation is really dumb, just think a bit, if you were in your house or about to go to work or in the pool if you got one, now your neighbour came and ask fro you id because reasons, would you say yeah sure here you got? if you do, I will stop now, because that's dumb as shit. The same thing happened with the MC and the cop.

Besides I will say it again, the MC is a succesfull guy, he has money and pretty sure he has lawyers, and the cop is the one doing illegal things, even if there are no witness, a good lawyer, and he can afford one, would turn everything that the cop try to say or do on him, so better deal with that asshole now and report him to the police, than to deal with him later when he could get more "proofs", if you report him, anything that he later presents against you can be called that he is obbsessed and become nule, so please, think a bit before trying to defend a really bad plot, just because you are a fan of the game.

Well I'm not going to defend the devs for the time between 0.1 and 0.2 but for WVM It's easier to spend less time between updates when there's no meaningful story and the characters all think the same.

Ya ...I had no ideea about that...from what I've read/understood is that this delay was basically because they are working on to many projects at the same time.
No ideea about other thing...if that';s the case...then I should apologize.

Are you talkign about this thread? or the discord of this game? Because that's how some fanatics of this game are doign right now, even trying to deffend a really bad plot like the cop, and in the discord all saying great game but if someone complain he is kicked or silenced fast, so yeah...

Along with every other defender...completely forgetting are we the MC actually says 'Fuck You' to the neighbour 'he knows' is a cop right at the start of the conversation....

So yes...he knows he's being harrassed....he knows it's bullshit...so forgetting the badly implemented scene altogether....it's also absurdly written. Stop defending what cannot be defended! This is junior high level writing.

And how often do you see a cop back down from abusing their power when someone tries to challenge them? You might think it's the right thing to do or the smart thing to do, but it isn't and it's just machismo talking. The MC will have to pursue other avenues, most likely legal ones, and that's what we may see here, or it will just continue on this less than realistic track, and if it does, then so what? It's a fictional game. Let it go.

People say that because they know of the other projects and just jumped to conclusions, but I've spoken with Alorth and know a bit about what's happened and, well, let's just say it's not been good recently. I've said that they should tell people, be open like Braindrop, but they feel like people would just see it as excuses and that they would just get more abuse, so if they're not going to tell people, then neither will I out of respect for that.

You should also mention that said dev paused his patreon for the entire time and in turn passed up on roughly $80,000 only to still receive massive flack for having to deal with grave personal problems and not working on their game – both from patrons and our fellow pirates alike. Which just goes to show that fewer and fewer people care about the impressions they leave behind.
