VN - Ren'Py - Radiant [v0.7.1] [RK Studios]

This is my first time reviewing a VN properly, also this is as of Chapter 3

So Actually my rating for this is 3.5 but that's not an option so I went with a 3

To quickly summarize the fucking essay I wrote in the discussions thread:

- Render quality is really good
- Solid amount of content for 3 releases but dev time is a bit on the long side
- interesting over all plot
- Gorgeous girls
- Unique spin on a common story (Amnesia)
- Univoidable insect love interests unfortunately
- Good use of music, a tad generic though
- Decent writing, Brilliant character dynamics that didn't fulfil their potential and was executed a bit poorly imo
-animations are a clean, though seem little off for some reason (could just be me though)
-Brooke and are best girls

Solid Game over all definetly above average, definetly a 3.5. Didn't rate it higher because of the direction of the Natalie relationship with MC. Also the dialogue is kinda poopoo, but it has gotten better with ch3

Slow burning game.
Has much plots w/o logic or in the wind.
The quality it's good bad not the quantity worth.
Need more animations spices.
Has multiple paths side girls less for the li.
Wait and check next update

This game is amazing i litteraly have nothing bad to say about it,its so good that i would even play it without any sexual content the story was amazing and bonding with the triplets is amazing as someone who wants to be a father one day and have twins if possible this game hit me in the feels i started to cry at one point so i hope the devolopers know they have a huge fan and they work hard on this amazing and beautiful game

Renders are good. Writing is not so good. Dialogues are bad. (Internal dialogue is worse.) Story is *really* bad. Over the top drama: Accidents! coma! amnesia! mothers who die of illnesses with perfect timing (daughters 18yo!). No punches are pulled to drive forward the usual tired tropes (first night toilet visit with coincidental cock reveal, this time with sleepwalking; morning after traditional peek/don't peek creepfest. The lingerie photoshoot. No female can hold back from wanting to fuck MC for just 10min, be it daughters, coworkers, waitresses whatever. )

I gave up at the point where the grieving mother of a son killed in the accident caused by MC 18 years ago (who now looks like 25, by the way), who is completely crushed by her loss and seemingly unable to function for the last 18 years, now confronts MC and gets into some cringe inducing cheesy dialogue (MC claims he has to continue his life as "I owe it to [..] your son"!?).I do not have the stomach to stick around to witness how her sorrows are inevitably healed by the power of cock...

My thoughts after playing v0.2.1.

I like:
- great graphics and animations
- great story, it's not the usual porn game with a shallow story that's just an excuse so a sex scene can happen
- great characters, they each have their own unique personalities
- well written dialogues and I really like the dirty talk
- POV sex scenes
- the player is not forced to have a romantic or sexual relationship with other characters
- no forced/unavoidable sex scenes
- hot women

i did not like:
- glenn, I hate that douche. The world would be a better place without people like him.

There's not much sex scenes yet which is understandable since it's only the second chapter, but this game has great potential considering the graphics, animations and story. Also, with all the hot women almost throwing themselves at the MC, I think this will lead to some very difficult choices in the future updates unless there will be a harem path. I can't say much as of the moment because it's still in the early stages but I can't wait for the next update. 5 stars for me.

The story so far is pretty solid and shit the mofo made me cry nearly multiple times. I had to be away from family for a long ass time last year and when you find out what happens to his parents and Gracie while he was in the coma hit me.

The designs for the girls are pretty good and varied in not just hair colour, interesting personalities to boot.

It's definatley not a long game but very interested to see it finished.

I give this a top rating right off the bat for the simple reason that so far, it has been very enjoyable. Wonderful looking with very nice dialogue and story as compared to so many others.

Only real gripe so far is the cop neighbor. Not so much that the character is there, but the way it is handled so far. It just makes zero sense for the MC to just say eh, whatever and move on after being blatantly harassed for no reason. If he is just there to steer the story in some direction, at least flesh it out more to match the rest of the story.

Love the characters of course, the triplets are great and hopefully the story will have them keeping the MC on his toes. Looking forward to more.

The renders are very nicely done and I expect this game to be a higher rating in the future. At the moment 0.2.1 is still pretty much an intro with very little "action". I'm looking forward to future updates and hope I can give it a higher rating soon.

One of my all time favorite games. Renders are fantastic, writing is superb, girls are well made, and the story seems to be heading in a great direction. I don't mind the length in between updates if it means we keep getting fantastic content in the future. Also, Olivia is by far the best girl.

Love the triplets, Maddie is the best. I said what I said.
Really great slow burn AVN that makes you fall for the characters and not just fuckdolls. Only a couple of chapters in and the depth of the story is amazing. Plays on AVN tropes while remaining unique.

I can only count my top favourite Developers on my own two hands and SirD and Alorth are two of the few Developers I love, Their other games are great and Radiant is no exception in fact it's one of the more anticipated games I look forward to hearing about a new update because I love every moment of the game From the moment we met the sweetest girl Gracie in the beginning through the to the introduction of some new girls knocking on your door and the emotion you can feel in the story writing, I might just be a sensitive fella but I genuinely had a tier or two roll down my cheek (Don't Judge Me! I have feelings too.) The 3 new girls Olivia, Allison and Maddie are very cute and gorgeous girls with their own unique personality and vibe, of course, there are more very attractive girls you meet as you play the game and they all have the same level of detail and quality to them as the 3 main girls we have so far so no one feels like a side character yet.

The story is very interesting in my opinion and it keeps my full attention and I'm someone with a short attention span, It has the right type of drama and emotion to make you feel the way the characters feel so you feel like you can relate even if you haven't experienced the situations the character are going through and have been through, Nothing feels random or written for the sake of it, every scene and moment in the game feels like it was meticulously written with a very specific emotional vibe and tone in mind like everything was written for a reason.

The Animations are absolutely amazing and it's further enhanced by the gorgeous girls in the Lewd scenes and the ambient background audio Like the distant voices of a crowded restaurant while you are doing the "Naughty Lewd Deads" with a jaw-dropping beauty in the public restroom, There is a lot of labour of love that went into this game and you can feel and see it for yourself by playing the game...

If you haven't played the game already yet and you are looking for something that has good story writing, amazing animations, many gorgeous girls, high attention to detail, Good Engrish (Shit all spelling errors if ever) and a game you can Fap to like you haven't busted a nut in weeks then this is the game for you especially you are Anti-NTR/Sharing of any kind with other males then I Highly recommend playing this game.


If you Like Radiant you might love the Developer's other stuff as well.

This is one of the only games which delivered convincing dialogue. The way the characters represent either pain or excitement or shock is displayed sooo well. And dont even get me started on the render quality. Absolute unit.

The very high ratings are misleading as usual.

The available content isn't that long, but that's not my main problem. It's that, looking at the tutorial it said my choices would be impactful and meaningful, but, disregarding the prologue and the basic premise of the game (coma patient), I can't even say no to a date? Pretty forced of the developer if you ask me, for a game that prides itself on choices and stats. Essentially - a subpar script so far.

The graphics are nice though.

But the game is very lacking in my eyes, mostly regarding player agency. To be honest I stopped playing after I had to go on the first date - such a big change in his life and all he does is think about getting some - can't be doing things like that author - you want emotional attachment - take your bloody time.

Super fun game. Not sure quite where the story is going just yet. But deff very promising so far.

I like the variety of personalities the girls have as well as the variety of looks.

Slow burn to getting to sex with most of the characters

Holy shit this game is well made. From the amazing renders, to the great animations, to the well written introduction of the game, to the father daughter incest theme (we got plenty of mothers and sisters already, so having daughter incest is a very welcome change for me) this game is all around amazing. The only flaw is that the game is very short right now, but that is to be expected at version 0.2.

Just finished the last version of the game(0.2.1 at this time) and the feeling that I´ve got is that I just need more!

The game is excellent, script is pretty extensive, dialogs are good and evolve quite naturally.
Models are really detailed, not the typical ones and the 3 ladies are simply awesome.
The main character has a lot of possibilities, I guess that we´ll see more of the effect of the choices with the upcoming updates.

I have enjoyed a lot playing the game and as a suggestion, I would add some fun/comedy and also minigames that affect the evolution of the game if that´s possible.

Review based on v.0.2.1:

Such a nice and different game I have seen being recommended in other threads from time to time, sadly never found the time to try it out myself. But now after finally finding some time to try it so do I understand why it is being so warmly talked about just by the opening/prologue itself.

This game has amazing art and super cute models which are complimented by a really coherent and thought true storyline, all the characters have their own distinct personality that suit them well. Maybe some of the characters get attached to the MC a little to quickly but I have see that happen with some charismatic people irl so I just see him/me as a charismatic person in game, which works for me to explain it. You get loads of choices on how to tailor your MC and how he interacts with the different LI's, you can either be a straight up dickhead towards some, a pervert towards others or a romantic, all depends on how you want to play. So if you like choices then this game is really for you. Game is rather lengthy already, but have not followed the game before now so don't know how much playtime gets added per update, if he release by chapter so would I guess it is about 1 hour of content each update.

If there is one place where the game is lacking so is it in the sex department, what is there is really hot but for the most part so is the game in the teasing stage with most of the characters, which is not a negative as we are still somewhat in the early stages with the LI's either way. I do however have high hopes for future updates to maybe turn up the heat some more, and hopefully so wont this become a straight up tease fest.

Definitely one of the best games on F95. All the characters are human-like and have distinct characters, the story is interesting, the renders are fabulous, the humor is funny. I just wish there were more than 2 chapters. Definitely waiting for more.

P.S. Natalie and her Ukrainian swears are top notch - funny, unexpected and uniquely add to the personality. Great find!

A very promising initial effort, which seems to reflect the two creators' rather different strengths and avoids or minimizes the weaknesses of their previous games.

The initial setup and plot is an unpromising pastiche of cliches from the porn game genre: amnesia, unknown daughters, and a Gary Stu-esque MC. The introduction is also too long and does not involve any meaningful choices at all. Impatient players might give up on the game before it begins.

But when we _finally_ get to the game, things shoot off in a much more positive direction. The MC is revealed to have serious weaknesses and shortcomings, despite his apparently perfect body and ideal lifestyle. He has enemies and people who could cause problems. And he is surrounded by different options and temptations that allow him real agency: he can be a really terrible person, a pervy but good (or bad) person, or a sadistic freak. It looks like we will be able to see those distinctions play out in the story and via lewd scenes.

There is not very much lewd content, yet, but what we've seen so far is very encouraging. The encounter with a certain character in a semi-public setting offers both excellent and unique animations (look at where her panties end up!) and a genuinely erotic element. If the rest of the lewd content in the game is even half as good, this could be one of the best.

I give this game a 5 star rating at this initial stage, despite the flawed introduction -- let's see if the creators can keep it up. It's worth noting that updates have been exceptionally slow, due to the creators' other commitments (worthy, but inferior, games). Let's hope they can wind those other efforts up soon and focus on _Radiant_ which certainly deserves the attention.
