my sad attempt of the replay mod for 0.4.06 created 256,257,258,259,260 plus added to 235, 250 and 254 their newly added cgs, probably missing some variables here and there but most of the new stuff is visible and i am not providing full info like opaquecake is am not fully sure how he was spreading them so they won't work too well with the sorting

260 was part of a big event so i left a small part of it where the cgs are found

let me know how it works as it's first time when i try doing this and might fail hard
l.e. swapped them on 26.08 with a version with a bit more info for the mod filtering
l.e.2: for instalation copy to the game folder, as described by opaquecake
l.e.3: for version 0.4.08 you have the above link by opaquecake, added this edit as this is still the pinned message
link for 0.4.07
link for 0.4.09
l.e: seems that from 0.4.10 the game comes with updated mod so i will go and retire somewhere

How sad. Even Our Red String, also a 2D game, is mostly made by a single person which was released on 2020, 4 years after Seeds of Chaos, has more content and size than this. As a result, it has more traction and popularity and even better ratings. It's such a shame to see SoC team become complacent and never improve over the years while Eva Kiss continues to improve and developer her work and system.
I used to be so supportive with SoC, being a patron and buying the game on steam, even promoting the game to my friends and people in games lobbies. Now I regret to ever giving so much money and time to it.

Eva Kiss is goat man, a true goat. A good girl gone bad is one of my most favorite corruption game and I will try Red String soon, how is it btw? Better than previous one?

I don't think you can compare SoC with a game that has a much simpler focus. It is the very rare player who would enjoy every one of the scenes added in each SoC update. We have so many people who are into this project for just 2-3 pairings with many very vocal players who only care for Alexia (and I guess a few like me who only care for Rowan and the main story). There are people who hate the NTR or hate the goblins. And that is because the game tries to do so much and after so many years of development I don't see how you can cut a niche entirely when there is already so much content even for the least served niches.

So yeah when you don't have a main story, you don't need to do fantasy world building, you only do straight scenes, you don't do monsters it is just easier. The art is probably easier too, so much more you can sample.

you can skip these at least? if you can skip isnt a problem. obligatory shit that turn ppl down, everyone is different. Take Desert Stalker as example, you can skip the fetish cenes that you dont like.

Sure but that means some months effectively have nothing for you if your desired pairings are narrow because of how broad they are with such pairings. And that is common for SoC.

Having a main story doesn't matter much when it isn't progressed. At the minute, SoC is filling out fetish scenes for the most part, and while having branching paths is cool, there's an obvious limit to how much they can progress when the main story isn't developing.

One thing that ORS has done that SoC should do is to recognize when they need to reduce content to focus on streamlining updates. There was an early character, Ed, who was supposed to have more content with the FMC, but Eva ended up discontinuing that plot line, to focus on other, more interesting or important plots. There are obviously people who wanted to see that content, but bringing out meaningful updates was more important.

Personally I consider goblin and Astarte advancement as main story advancement.

I think you should probably check out ORS before you casually dismiss it as "much simpler without a main plot". You might realize just how silly you look making such claims.

(just the amount of interlocking variables and how they all affect the supposed non-existent main story alone is bordering on insane)

they both are plus fey.
Are fey central to the plot? I still don't see it. They do not interact with Astarte and Rastedel in any way. I could see them becoming a major plot point in Act 2 I suppose but in Act 1 they feel like three more castle routes for milf, werewolf and catgirl (well foxgirl in this case) fantasies.

It's been a few years (5+) since I played this game and was wondering if it's worth my time.

For context, when I last played the gameplay loop of castle management, discovery and conquest was interesting but the RNG was not conducive to a fun gameplay experience. I get that RNG/skill check events are a thing in this kind of game but there weren't sufficient tools to mitigate negative outcomes/skill checks. Worse still, the tools you did get were contigent on resources aquired via exploration which was RNG. I hate save scuming to but it felt necessary back then just to get a good roll. Without stat customization you were at the mercy of RNG and I just couldn't take it when the content I wanted was so sparse.

Have they fixed that issue, or is this game still just RNG simulator with lots of NTR and Gay porn?

It don't want to openly dismiss this game without asking others because it did have potentially fun gameplay buried under RNG bullshit and it catered to some of my more niche 'interests'. That said, it had way too much of stuff I didn't like, so I'm on the fence about picking this game back up.

So, Worth my time? Or am I better off just looking up the art?

RNG is still there BUT in my personal opinion is much better . you do get enough skill points to pass most check and even if you don't i dont bother to reload for failed checks in most situation(there are few exceptions it can be avoided if you know what you are doing). if i remember right in previous versions there was much much much more stats and you even got fewer skill points
now there is 8 stats and you get 5 skill points from level up and you can also buy single stat upgrades. same thing with management it actually dose things now and some very big events depend on it.

about NTR side depends. currently there are 2 main ntr plotlines (depending on your definition )but in reality they make very small part of overall scenes. same with gay scenes they are there but i would not say they represent majority of content.

generally its great game but its not for everyone some people will like it some wont you have to decide for yourself
