Same. For me it's the vibe. The soundtrack and the moody atmosphere in the renders is calming af for me. I think I'm at my 5th playthrough now. Even though at this point i know in detail the stuff that happens, i still enjoy it. It's like that one movie that you don't get tired of no matter how many times you watch it. Shit if summer's gone was a interactive narrative game like Life is strange, I'd instabuy it and play it forever.
For me it's especially if it is a narrative driven game. These are the only games worth playing and spending time on. I'll forever simp games like SW: KoTOR, Heavy Rain and Life is Strange because they show us all you need is a good mix of story and characters to create an amazing game that leaves long lasting impressions on you. Gameplay, style and graphics are almost meaningless (to me) if you manage to nail the important aspects.

This is one of the reasons why I don't rate SG that highly. Story and characters is where I feel Ocean fails miserably at because pretty much everything else is top notch.

Characters and their relationship dynamics (yeah, the fucking "uinque dynamics") is the most attractive part of the game. The slice of life approach. If Ocean changes this, I think the game will drop somewhere near the bottom of my personal top ten to me.

Because I know much better written story-based games in the terms of the story (one of them was updated today) but they don't have the character dynamics on par with SG and they can't build suspense like Ocean does.

Well, I wouldn't say failing miserably. The vast majority of games are actually even worse in this regard. But it's definitely the second weakest link, only beaten by Ocean's perfectionist penchant for reworks and tweaks that unfortunately lead to the butchering of the characters' physical attributes. Oh my poor Mila...

In last week's devlog Ocean said - see you in 11 days after also mentioning the next log would be on the 12th in the very first sentence, where you got the idea that Ocean's going back to Wednesday logs.

I'll see you in 11 days with some numbers.
The log after this one will be on Wednesday the 12th. I want to return to the Wednesday Dev logs.

Soooo do y'all estimating Q1 of 2025 or Q2 ? I can't get the feel from his DEV log or where he's at in development besides that the update is huge.

I'm expecting Q2. Next Wednesday Ocean's doing a devlog with numbers based on his new hardware, and we'll see what he expects. He won't put a date because he never hits them, but we'll be able to extrapolate better based on percentage remaining vs number of renders he can do a night.
