Agreed, I'm just stating that I wouldn't write it that way. I'm not disagreeing with what you are saying being a possibility. I think, granted you can take it too far, but for the most part, "The longer and bigger the Big Three are as threats, the more content you can write."
With that said, you don't want to get into milking territory like Walking Dead or my old love One Piece. To see Superhuman walk the dreaded milking path with plot content(milk erotic content forever fuck yea) would be a tragedy. I think there's three type plot writing options for writing good enough to even pay attention to depending on any particular audience member's viewpoint: Rushing things, Doing things just right, and milking.
Hitting the middle sweet spot for a majority consensus of your total audience is rare and hard but worth the attempt.
My personal view is that what you are describing would be trivialize the MC competing and fighting against Lieutenant HERO level threats during this arc and I would categorize that as rushing, but you and anyone else are certainly free to disagree!
I liked watching MC go from fighting a group of armed humans in a diner, to fighting a weak monsterfied human like Kenny, to fighting a weak monster or monsters, to fighting same level superhumans like Oscar or Klaus, to fighting against a stronger superhuman like roided Klaus, to fighting much stronger monster or monsters to eventually fighting Lieutenants, Chosen, Captains, Apostles, Extrauniversal threats and maybe, just maybe an Arbiter.
I want to see him be compared to, compete with and fight against Lieutenants of all their varying powerlevels.
I'm not judging your wants or desires. I'm just stating that mines are different unless you are suggesting that MC catches up to the Big Three towards the end of his level four progression, in which case, I would have much less of a problem. I'm sorry if that's the case. I thought you meant stronger than them fresh off their fourth evo
I'm gonna laugh my ass off if I misunderstood you.
