A simple example: Stalin, Franco, Ataturk in the 20th century. They were dictators, tyrants who organized mass repressions, participated in wars, and so on. But all three, having accepted their countries in a very backward state, developed them into high-tech and economically developed ones during their years of rule.Simply because someone has power, or ALOT of power does not make them a tyrant. their actions define it. Tyrants do NOT grant freedom and boost strong economies and relations between nations. they simply start wars usually and take people by force and nothing really improves there. most do different forms of slavery and in some cases genocide.
