I know we are discussing fictional situation in fictional world (in real game) but ability of logical thinking is universal.

You need to know concept of hierarchy. She was sent to the mission by someone above her and if that mission was clearly against Templars like breaking into their HQ and steal something, there were other Templars with orders as well. As they say, don't kill the messenger.

The fact alone that you (and me, and some others) think so highly about Finn should give you hint that she actually probably would not want you to avenge her. Why? Because when we met her she was exactly as you are now, full of rage and anger. In time MC and Finn got closer together and she has shown some humility, admitted she was wrong. Before she met you she would go rogue but now? Not sure. She changed mainly because of MC so MC doing two steps backward and acting like she would back then feels kinda like betrayal. If she changed because of you, that means she think that's a better way than just raw rage and revenge.

And as I said, we need to know what exactly happened. If she could be actually spared and be jailed instead but someone decided to just kill her (like we could at the beginning) or simply she was ambushed on some neutral-like mission then yeah, you've got my sword and my bow and my axe and we will burn them to the ground. Context matters.
Exactly, we need some context (a lot of context in this case) for this situation. What a very few players fail to realize is that this is a story told by a developer that put some default traits on the MC, they can change with a few choices and along the story narrative but the MC will never have the exactly same behavior than any player would behave on those situations, the MC is not us.

We are here mostly to enjoy the ride with a few game elements like choices that impact a few situations and feel some immersion but always realizing that this is a story told by someone that is different than any of us, maybe similar than some of us but not us also :p.

As for the first one - it doesn't matter. Like I said, I don't care "why" only who. I don't care if they were justified, or enchanted, or tricked - I just want a name. As for the second, I think it's what Finn would have wanted, and it's definitely what I want. I don't necessarily have to use that sword, I can use the other one or, (I'm assuming this is set in the States) I can pick up a shotgun at Wal Mart. If I can't have revenge, then I just want nothing to do with the Templars at all (collectively or individually).
All good. I guess it matters not to you that Finn was killed before she could complete her mission of assassinating your (MC's) sister. Maybe you can kill your (MC's) sister to both honor Finn and avenge her death.

/s, I know, but that's simply a response to your half-cocked reaction. You (the MC) are out of the loop and know nothing about what happened or why, but you want to rush out to kick ass and take names regardless. Good luck with that. ;):)

Yep it is an usual sign on forums and chats because it is really hard to see the tone you put in your texted words. Very very rarely I use it. The very few times I do I usually put *sarcasm on* text *sarcasm off*. I love sarcasm humor but I'm really awful doing it.

In a game implied to be about dealing with universal problems that threaten everyone
Do they though? All things considered the scope of the game seems very small and the stakes quite low. I myself didn't realise this until I did a non canon path where I engaged with the elves. The conversation with bitch elf lady at the end basically implies that the Templars and Elves are just 2 tiny little factions with access to a hidden secret and some cool toys. Like groups of children fighting each other with sticks and stones at the kindergarten recess, over control of the single water fountain

The elves aren't a threat to humanity. She says so herself. They don't have the numbers. Not even remotely. If they waged war, they'd be all but wiped out in a few months. They are only a threat to the Templars and who gives a shit about them? They could all die today for all I care, honestly.

We still don't know much about the Hellspawn or the other races/worlds that connect to Neverwhere. Maybe those could pose a threat to humanity, the elves or even Neverwhere eventually. As of right now, from my perspective, it really seems like a tiny scale conflict.

exactly the tension or rivalry between Alfar and Templars is not the conflict, there are 9 different worlds and Neverwhere is the hub to access them, similar to the Nordic mythology, it was briefly discussed before the whole Waifu war started and some started to want to anihilate a faction because of "Alfar pussy" to put it bluntly.

I think it's my reaction because (other than Jessica) MC's relationship with Finn was the only meaningful relationship so far, and she was the only interesting character. Anything else that's going on - with other factions or whatever - have little or nothing to do with me, and aren't my problem. I'm not a Templar, have no intention of becoming a Templar and wouldn't save them if they were on fire and I was walking past with a bucket of water. Their battles are their battles.

Really? So far i got the impression that you really like the templars and kaija ... strange.

But as you are repeating the same point over and over and OVER ... im sure i will get it one day!

I understand your sentiment. I have no infinity with the Templars either. I'm just saying we have no idea how or why Finn died. Was it the Templars? Was it that third faction, the ones that seem to want the Templars and Elves at war with each other? What was Finn doing? Until Ceolag answers these questions, anything is possible...

As mentioned, it means "sarcasm". I tend to use and misuse it a lot when I'm not being so serious, or when I present a scenario that isn't likely true.

In this instance, I used it because I don't believe that Finn was really going to assassinate the MC's sister. I was just presenting a hypothetical scenario.

I'm just waiting to see what's in the next update. For me the murder of Finnabair is a bigger deal than the betrayal of MC by Kajia and his parents. So I'm waiting to see how the aftermath is handled, but unless there's a good revenge path I'm probably done with this one.
Hellspawn tried to kill elves when MC and Kaija were touring Nightside (ops, Neverwhere). I don't have any reason to believe otherwise: she was killed by a third part who is interested in throwing both side to a war, like in the plot of Sum of all Fears by Tom Clancy.

I got the conveyed message in your post, and how I already said, I'm a very sarcastical person, I just was wondering about "/s" never had problems to identify sarcasm, I use emojis, to hint that I'm not too serious about what I'm posting,
much apreciated your response I love learning new things

I see that, but at this point I'm inclined to believe Medb - who has been more open and honest with MC than his parents or his "girlfriend" ever were. The way I described my feelings about the Templars was basically the way I felt *before* I went to see the elves.

Siding with the elves are the best option to keep oneself out of Templar's vigilance. All over the world and in Neverwhere their presence is intrusive and they would keep watching you no matter what.
