But as you say, there is definitely a vast gulf between "finding something hot" and "loudly exclaiming for no fucking reason whatsoever how hot you find that thing." I've tried Thorn Sin about 7-8 months ago but it was buggy af and didn't have much content/ very little variety of enemies, compared to Guilty Hell 1/2 for example. How far did they get in the last 6 months or so?

theyve added plenty of new enemies, up to 4 levels now, a couple erotic random rooms and they fixed the major bug in the torn clothes corset then accidently reverted it so the same item i super buggy again. DO NOT BUY THE SEXY PENTAGRAM CHEST CORSET THING

I play it fine, problem, I feel that this game is heavy and you can't play it much.
If I couldn't reduce the graphics, is it possible to reduce the resolution to 800x700 ?

The pentagram corset bug only happens for some people and not others. Personally I've never experienced it and have bought it many times. For new players I would recommend just try buying it when you see it early in a run before you're too invested to easily restart it. Then if the game continues as normal, you're probably good to keep buying it. If not, at least now you know it's bugged for sure on your system ^_^

True. I'm starting to think that might be a weird framerate-related bug. Or if someone is using BepInEx plugins for TS, maybe that's the reason.

Other than that, no idea. I wasn't able to replicate this bug on any of my walkthroughs. Picked it up while MC naked/clothed/in oestrus state - no difference, still can move around just fine.

No, it should still be this month. They did say they were gonna release it last month but it got delayed to this month.

You haven't read the development log for this game.
The game was not updated last month because the developer said he was going back home and becoming a full-time developer, promising an update in mid-February.

Sponsorship for porn games is not usually enough to make someone a full-time developer. This means that they will look for other work, which will delay the development schedule.

It's easy to test. I'll attach unpacked source project files for several TS's animations/objects to this post. Try to open projects files with that demo version.
I believe current trial version actually allows you to do things to some extent, but I'm not sure what limitations they set up for it.
As for how to find out which version you'll need to open projects even before you try to load them in in Spine: open .json file and look at numbers in the first line:

And now you know which version developer used to export the file. Keep in mind that TS's Spine usage is not constant and they change versions from time to time.

Oh and TS also use a not-so-trivial texture packing/unpacking method which I explained here before, but in short - unpacked sprite resolution is much higher than it's used in-game, while included .atlas file use different texture dimensions. I didn't figure it out, so in the attached example textures are upscaled to a required resolution, but you can't repack them properly for game specs as is.

It's definitely possible to mod it in if the texture assets are uncensored - it's sprite based after all. Unless they're applying custom mosaic shader on top. But I think TS don't use it for now? Spine modding can allow to do more with posing and adjusting some additional stuff. The problem with TS is a texture resolution handling, but that's another can of worms.

As for developer's "modding compatibility", it's interesting but very limited in the current form so we can't use it for uncensor.
