I feel called out, few days ago said the lack of a stun option to the custom weapons prevented it from buffing the Smugglers, now if only they could also rework the Mercenary to shut me up for good (If Savin went and re-worked the entirety of the Charmer class TWICE then I've got some hope yet for a Rework in TiTS!)

Actually according to Doot's outline doc (you can find it on Kemono) the former is something she can do, but it's only available as a random event if you don't 'feed' her for a while, not a task you can purposely assign her to
(As far as crew members go 'recruiting' her doesn't really bring a lot to the table beyond the new sex scenes, which I do think're pretty good additions don't get me wrong. Currently the only other functionality she really has is just the (kinda mild imo) replayability of training her to see the different dialogue variation in scenes, beyond that you can't sleep with her, you can't change her outfit, you can't modify her body, etc etc. I know most of those are pretty unrealistic expectations to complain about, but you kinda expect there'd be more you could do with a literally enslaved character you know? You could bimbo-ify Siegwulfe, why can't I bimbo-ify/whatever my actual sex-slave titty snek? Maybe there'll be more added in the future, I'd want to hope so, but who knows)

Unfortunately you're correct about the latter not being a function though. There's not even any sex scenes where you have her use her venom on you, or maybe just a scene where she tries to use it on you when she's still low obedience, which kinda feels like a missed opportunity tbh

I honestly think Wil was saddled with writing all the content Savin (& others) didn't want to touch while being told that the stuff that he really wanted to do wasn't good enough.

the only json files game comes with are manifests. their purpose is ease of generation and parsing, while remaining human-readable (they even have it indented, which is not a default behavior). json does the job.
you also incorrectly identified them as databases. they aren't. they aren't even used by the game, only the launcher.

then why mention "notoriously insecure" as a point? being a flash app doesn't make it inherently unsafe or exploitable. from user stand point, a standalone .exe has far more access to the system than a web plugin. from dev stand point, flash being "insecure" is irrelevant, because the game doesn't interact with any external web content where it could be problematic. it's a dumb point to bring as a criticism in favor of switching.

Second...because those languages were actually designed to handle this kind of thing? Sure, JS certainly can run all the logic for a game, but it sure as hell wasn't designed to. A lot of that has to do with how Node runs, but Node is basically JS now so that seems like a bit of a moot point. Everything JS runs on Node, without exception, yes even considering that other runtimes exist.

tits is and always was a browser game. the goal was to keep it that way. it's not tied to electron, node, chromium, or even v8. you can run it in firefox. with enough shims - probably even ie will work. as a browser game, using any script but js would still be using js, but now as a translation layer. you have fundamentally misunderstood what the devs were going for.

for languages literally written in some variation of C, which is most of them, that's only a problem if you rely too heavily on OS-specific API calls to do things. Everything can run C...it's literally the programming languge of programming languages, I don't know what doesn't trace its origin back to C.

People always underestimate the sheer amount of work it all takes.

I would honestly wager most projects fail due to people not knowing just how much of a jack of all trades you kind of need to be to make just the programming side of things work, nevermind the countless other things you need especially if you're making something 3D. At least if you're not, the kind of assets you need aren't nearly impossible to find, nevermind actually get...

Futa- 8
(Kiro and Azra kinda bend the rules cause there race kinda just have dicks weather your male or female but I am just gonna count them, Syri wasn't BORN a futa but she is one when we meet her )
Male- 2
Female- 9
Female but can be turned into futa- 4
Exceptions-
Bess and Ben: cause you have to chose either a male or female, so they could go either or.
Cel/Nova(Gray Goo) Cel yes she is female but she can grow dicks if you want, Nova is here as well, though they do appear female they can take any appearance they wish, and don't really have one, so I am just put the slime and possible slime in the same boat.
Varmint-Its a space dog pretty much and the gender is just ????? lol
Siegwulfe- Is Female and can also turned into be a futa, but at the end of the day just a combat drone so putting them here.
Tika- Yes made female but still just a drone like Siewulfe.

Also side note which crew members can and can not use turrets during space battles is FUCKIGN hilarious.

The personalities that run these kinds of projects deserve everything that happens and more. To that extent the most recent screenshot being late last year? Two fucking weeks ago practically? Honestly I am just baffled, I know project management might as well be a distant dream there but what advantage was there to shelving william's plans? From my understanding there is already several google docs out there on several characters and he wanted to write more, hell they could have milked implementing just one character for half a year under the guise of "making sure its "polished" or code doesn't crash the game", and I don't think anyone would've been opposed to these characters either here or on their forums.

The only two reasons I can even think makes general sense was will asking for more money or equivalent more than what fenoxo was willing to pay or the more likely is that Fen considers himself an """"artist""" and didn't want to be out shown in either quality or quantity.

Now on a side not I haven't really gone through any of the doc's but did any of his characters interact with other characters or quest in a heavy way? As that is the only sort of coding issue I can think that can crop up when implementing them.

Biggest problem with DoL is that player is locked into a role of a little kid that gets exploited and harassed all around. With no option of player dominance.
