Maybe because they're not trying to make a studio game? The animations are there for people using the sandbox to use, and for any possibilities that they might show up somewhere in story mode either as something the player starts or as one that just happens in the background or without the player's input. You could make the same argument for AAA games that have so many more animations, especially a game like an FPS where you have specific animations for every gun in the game, or adaptive animations that change or add/remove bits of animation based on context.

Besides, I would rather a porn game have a variety of animations, instead of just the same animations that play over and over, like in Illusion games like Koikatsu you only get basic positions with no variations. Also way better than in some games where you can go back to a character to have sex again but only have a single position, like I don't want to do the same reverse cowgirl position with Mrs Archetype Stereotype for the 1000000th time because it's the only sex option.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't an attack.
Honestly, I'm done"trolling" in that thread (unless if it's light trolling toward SortaLewd about Star Citizen, but I digress )

I was genuinely asking that question because it's obvious that the game as an enormous potential as a studio game ( I mean, the custom content some share here is definitely top tier) and yeah, the animations are amazing !

I was asking that in the sense that maybe it would be a better idea for them to entirely focus their resources towards developing further and supporting this part of the game.
I originally was interested by the adventure part of the game, but abandoned following it because of the snail pace of the updates toward that side of the game.
Again, I'm not saying all that as an attack. They're clearly good with their animations and support for custom content creation, so why not fully develop this first, and then work on the adventure game ?

There is definitely plans to improve POV mode, yes. However its important to note that the main design perspective for the games story mode is 3rd person. POV is a nice-to-have feature that we would love to have working nicely but its not on the important list right now so it might be something that happens later in the polishing phase if we have time, and if we dont, then it would be something we would do with a post-release patch.
Is there an option to "freeze" (and loop) favorite animations in cinematic mode? If not there should be.

For POV mode I highly recommend shrinking the head down to nothing or almost nothing in the bone controller. In VR, it also helps to do this to the upper neck, also moving it up so that the viewpoint isn't stuck in the shoulders
