The quests are now tracking your progress with the characters, so no to-do list is needed. The next steps are transferred to the character screen. If you load a full 0.8.0 save you won't see that since there is no new quest content in 0.8.5, but if you start a new game, you'll notice a (*) next to the characters that have an active quest.

New scenes with Ann and Kira (and also Zenta, Karen and Zoe - Eric's second wife) are planned for 0.9.

0.8.5 is only new VN gameplay mode, rework on the "opportunities" and transferring of the 0.8 story scenes into repeatable events. No new content is added.
