RPGM - Defenestration [v0.5f hotfix] [Fresh Mulan]

Not my thing. And buggy through lack of care.

So I tend to enjoy corruption games, but this one didn't scratch the itch. The main character isn't likeable and I just can't see her as.. a character. She doesn't have a personality, yes that is explained in the story, that doesn't make it good.

The corruption isn't the one I am a fan of, it's not about making her a sex addict, it's about making her dumb. Which I am not really interested in? I find nothing really appealing in playing a dumb character.

For the rest of the game, it's buggy, lots of sequence breaks, dialogue is all over the place (I think the author wants to make it a style but... it's not good, or at least not to me).

RPGM is... not the greatest but considering the shear amount of HRPGM games, i'm not gonna put a negative spin on that.

However the author could have taken care to at least polish the gameplay, there are several instances of sequence break and soft locking loops that should absolutely be dealt with and only arose due to lack of care. A few bugs is fine, but not this. Even some things that aren't actually bugs (a cop is intended to arrest you through rng, and after a few encounters with him you just have to end up in jail every time you meet him and if you come out of jail? guess what, you might be forced to meet him again before reaching your house!!!).

Art looks good, not my taste but I can obviously see that it's not bad.



So if you are into specifically bimbo corruption, dialogue that appeals to what was considered brainrot 10 years ago and can tolerate a buggy rpgm? Sure, you might enjoy this game. Not me.

The game is really good and has many qualities that made me enjoy it a lot, such as the gameplay and the story. However, some negative aspects hindered the experience: the excess of useless clothing, many of which are even ugly, and the lack of a proper order in the missions, which caused several bugs. I had to restart multiple times because of these issues, which broke the immersion and continuity of the game,

I really like this game. The mind control/hypno content is excellent. The best part of Fem MC games is when there are multiple parties trying to control you, and this game does that excellently. Dialogue variations are good. It'd be nice to see more updates, but oh well

TL;DR Cyberpunk Corruption

Another good corruption game, rather slow at points but nothing major, the story gets confusing at points but mostly cuz I skip dialogue, the lore is good, the environments lack a bit but the game shines during the corruption parts specially scenes, there's decent enough variety to see events change, but not that many events to see at least as far as I played, if you have the time and patience this is worth the fap.

This game has one of the best art styles in my opinion.

If you are expecting constant updates from this game, you will be disappointed. But honestly there are quite a decent amount of content at its current state and even if it goes abandoned, I would probably still re-play the game from time to time

What can I say? I didn't care for it.
Lazy world building. Unrealistic story. Bad characters.
The writing is all over the place and the main character is unlikeable.

The artwork is good, I guess, so kudo's to the artist.
But the UI is ugly and the engine is frankly outdated.

I never review games, but I felt this one truly deserved it.

This game is beautiful: great music, great humor, and the main character is fantastic. She’s tough and combative, but also just a little girl navigating a world full of threats and intimidating figures. The game world is also amazing—I love everything about it. Even the more unusual elements are refreshing and unique. It reminds me of Clair Quest, but in my opinion, this is even better... at least in terms of potential.

Unfortunately, the game still lacks a lot of content and is riddled with bugs. I often encountered a glitch where the dialogue would disappear, forcing me to restart the game and reload my most recent save. It was really frustrating, and that’s the only reason I couldn’t give this game a full 5 stars.

Kept up with this game a few years to see where it's going, and it's not really going anywhere. The art is great, the premise is great, the writing can be pretty funny. Had a lot of potential honestly, but...

1. It's in RPGMaker and should be a VN in Renpy instead. RpgMaker is such a terrible engine for a game like this.
2. It is grindy as all get out. And annoyingly so. There is no value on repeating the same steps over and over and over again, especially in the beginning. Running back and forth to the same areas over and over again for nothing new is highly annoying. Working for $2 in-game over and over again is highly annoying (I don't care that it's most likely a jab at communism, it's a video game and annoying).
3. Not a lot of content despite being so grindy. Not a lot of very basic things such as piercings and hair styles have been implemented yet despite being advertised in game for a long, long time.
4. Most of the existing scenes are some variation of the MC getting molested. It's dull, boring even.
5. Buggy. Incredibly buggy.
6. The existing quests are super irritating., there is no real pacing at all, the narrative kind of falls apart, and there's not enough fucking to make up for that at all.

Game has very good body modification aspects. The corruption and atmosphere is also pretty good.

The sheer level of customisibility and probably some lazyness on the devs side has led to an extremely slow development cycle.

There are very few actual penetrative sex in the game. 90% of the scenes is just characters telling the mc how much of a slut she should be. Its good but it gets very boring.

Almost every scene is basically one scene cut into multiple parts. You have to visit the same npcs multiple times to see a full scene. You see the old scene and then you get to a new portion of the scene everytime you visit them. You have to do this multiple times to get the full scene. It gets annoying lol, don't make me relive the same scene multiple times, if you have to do it, just start the new scene off where the old scene ended.

Overall, play the game if you like body modification/bimbofication and forget about it once you finish it. its one of those games that will probably never end.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and corruption themes present in this game, plus it features an unique artstyle which has definitely grown on me.

I finished version v0.5c in about 6 hours and most of the sex stuff I saw amounted to the mc being nude or getting groped. There's a distinct lack of sex in the game about supposedly being brainwashed into a huge slut.

Some scenes go on for too long without even showing much or show you stuff you've already seen, like the scenes in the gym. The way the scenes themselves play can also be a little jank, like hairstyle or other segments behaving a little jittery.

There's a stupid amount of bloat due to having to walk everywhere (like exiting your apartment, taking the elevator, going out of the building, walking through the street, down the stairs and finally into the metro where you can travel) with very little that's actually worth exploring. There being no combat I imagine this game would be better suited for another engine.

For some reason there's no option in the menu to check your stats.

This game is filled with pointless npcs that can be interacted with for some flavor text. I'd rather have fewer more meaningful interactions than getting to a new are and talking with 20 npcs that contribute nothing in the hopes of catching one that will give me something.

TL;DR: Cool world, but the erotic content is stretched thin. RPGM doesn't help.

I love this game, I love the humor, the world, the themes, the art, everything.
But...
Its rough, and based on the devs poor work flow, I dont know when these issues will get fixed. anyway
If you do the missions in the wrong order it can break dialogue, art, and scenes
There are routes the have clearly just been cut out of the game due to artist constant redoing of assets
Many systems are just broken, As of now you can strip down nude in public with no lust or fetishes
I have broken the outfit system in save permanently by trying to adjust outfits at the wrong time
Some missions are not showing in the quest log
Old scenes break if you have the wrong breast size
ect ect ect, its a mess of great ideas and fantastic art, but at the rate its going and with these things only get worse every update? Its not a good product and I wouldn't waste my time on it until its complete

Hands down ONE OF THE BEST Games on this website. I always thought "Mind Control" was too convenient as it in Most cases sort of bypasses the whole "Slow" corruption thing, but this Game pretty much nailed "Mind Control" tag as whole. This is Literally the BEST MIND CONTROL Game on this site, zero competition. By far everything depicted in this game is a easy 10/10, and has a solid 6 hours of Gameplay for someone looking to play version 0.5. Someday when this Game is Completed this will no doubt be one of the best Games on this Website.

One of my favorite corruption games. It has a well thought out story in a consistently absurd universe. The corruption and mind control scenes are well done and player choices actually influence the game. The graphics are well done and reflect player actions.

Terrible game, with nonsensical plot (even for a porn game), retarded dialogues and characters, lousily written scenes and bad art. It has no redeeming quality really and I do wonder how come it has such a high rating? City is empty and it's your usual RPGM game, with no effort added.

Music is the same as in dozens of other titles, locations too and there's not much to do here. To progress we need to grind a lot and it's just a waste of time. Disaster of a game. You could randomly pick another RPGM game and it will be probably better than this title.

I have followed this game from basically it's inception and it has slowly become one of my favorite and most anticipated porn games available.

The setting of Defenestration combines characteristics of cyberpunk, Cold War era USSR, and post-nuclear in a way that is unique each on their own, but novel beyond measure when brought together. The story to back it up is intriguing and pulls the player in to want to learn more about both the setting and our heroine, Kira.

The game revolves heavily around transformation, utilizing a protagonist that has lost her memory, allowing the player to essentially choose who Kira is going to be, while still incorporating a backstory that feels well integrated and meaningful. The sheer variability in choices and optional/radiant events that take place creates an environment resulting in very few Kira's being the same, lending the game to enjoy a high replay value. Choices that the player makes have direct and impactful outcomes, both visually and systematically at a scale that I don't think I have ever seen in a porn game.

The art is the main way that Defenestration delivers on consequences of player action, and boy is it good. The direction that the dev has taken the art recently is highly consistent and unique, finding a happy medium between too cartoony/anime or too realistic. Each character has a charming and recognizable design that is evocative of the character's personality, with Kira being the epitome of customizability. You can play the intended spy fantasy with a lean and sophisticated Kira, go fully debaucherous and make Kira into a massive titted bimbo with DSLs plumped to the max and an ass that would make a Kardashian blush, or you can throw caution to the wind allowing the world to morph and modify Kira as you go.

That brings us to the vector of customizing and changing Kira, the porn events and the genres they occupy. Mind Control/Hypno underpins basically all of the events in the game, but Traditional Corruption is supported as an option to players hoping to not avoid or not engage with hypnosis. Both of these forms of corruption are used to satisfy a number of genres from Exhibitionism and Free Use to Hucow and Petplay. And for each of these genres, Defenestration shines as having some of the most satisfying porn events I have played to date. I don't even really like Hucow and lactation, yet the way this game integrates MC/Hypno/Corruption makes for some truly incredible and sexy events. I find myself actively looking forward to each genre that the dev team devotes time to.

The one major downside or criticism I find with this game is new content vs. old content. This being the dev's first porn game has led to a pretty stark contrast between quality of content available right at the beginning of the game compared to stuff that is being actively released. The old content is by no means bad or not pleasurable, it just isn't up to par with what is currently being released, in basically every facet (dialogue, grammar, porn render design and implementation, etc.)

The reason I have still elected to give Defenestration a five stars review, regardless of that caveat, is that even some of the "worst" content in the game is still leagues ahead of basically everything else occupying the same genres. Defenestration is a shining light for RPGM porn games and I am looking forward to see where it goes!

OMG... Defenestration.

What I've seen here and the time I've spent on it has left me in genuine shock. Let's start with the theme of the project itself—it's impossible not to notice it, as it practically invokes a nauseating reflex and instills thoughts of shooting those who belong to a certain social circle.

The dialogues are so boring, dull, lengthy, and senseless. I don't even know how to describe it. Spending time reading a huge chunk of text that is written so poorly that even my text might seem divinely good in comparison, and I'm not skilled in beautiful and interesting writing, not to mention grammar—I apologize for that.

The gameplay of this horror is some senseless mess, not to mention reading lengthy dialogues. And the sexual content... Well, it's not worth it considering the efforts we need to overcome to see some picture while suppressing the gag reflex with both hands. So, even jerking off is definitely not going to happen for you.

So, it's better to skip this project, and believe me, you won't lose anything. I'll even say more—you'll save your precious time.

I have a very simple way of explaining why I think this game deserves five stars. I come to f95 for porn games. There's a lot of elements that determine whether a game is good in general. How's the UI? The writing? The characters? The gameplay loop? All of these things matter, but, at the end of the day, the most important thing for a porn game is how hot it is.

Defenestration is a super hot corruption game with a very slow burn that manages to be extremely erotic and the main character has only had sex once in my playthrough so far.

That's insane. This game is a masterwork in the corruption genre.

Though I have been a long time patreon backer of this game, only now am I leaving a review (sorry about that; I'm only just getting around to finally review things on here).

Great game. This game probably more than any other (except maybe TiTS and CoC?) made me start to appreciate indie porn games. Mulan's humor is superb and could be the bones to a great non-porn indie game. BUT with the smut added Defenestration is out of this world.

I'll admit I was worried at one point on the continued development of the game (unrelated to feb of last year when the Ukraine War started; that was a different worry more for Mulan and Moana and less about the game). Having backed Eromancer back when he was working (ish) on Malise and the Machine I couldn't help but be worried when Defenestration started getting delayed over and over again due to what were effectly engine updates (the game outran RPGM's capabilities so they had to completely rework the sprite system). And thanks to Eromancer's handling of Malise's pause I was worried the same was happening to Defenestration when Mulan began extensively reworking the art style.

My worries were for naught however. Even though they had to strip some of the story out (and haven't added it back in due to the reworking that is still partially underway) what they have added and what the game has become are top notch. AND they have added more into the game since than they had initially removed (with the plans to eventually re-add all of the removed content).

If you want a ridiculous smut game full of the best type of quirky humor, play Defenestration. You'll love it.

This used to be my alltime favorite erotic game. It's one of the few I'm inspired to not skip through, the art has become amazing, and I genuinely found myself laughing a lot.
