What is the point of a romantic route when you're raping them in their sleep. Sleep creep was fine in DoD, there was a whimsical otherwordly feel to the whole game. It feels too forced in this one.

Don't exaggerate. The sleepcreeping is entirelly optional. If you ignore it altogether you still can unlock everything so there is no connection between the two. At least not yet. Some are favouring nightinvasions tho.
Try reading the walkthrough in the OP once ... once as in 1 time. This version doesn't really have much more content than the old Unity build.

Its not an option when 1/3rd or more of the sex content rendered involves non-consent. Players will naturally want to see all of it.
