If you softlocked it (like i did) in your save already the update won't remedy that. You have go back before or restart.

What are you missing from that?

This was pretty much a conversion update, not a content one.

Yeah,I think this is what 0.2 should be.Or at least the dev said something like that.
Hopefully next updates will do better with more content and won't add too much grind.
Also we shouldn't expect sex before 0.7 I think.Unless we are talking for some hooker

Thats an interesting thing. If we gonna see sex with a character currently in first or we gonna get a relief girl. Considering the quality of renders i can't say that i'd mind a relief girl

Absolutely - STS has awesome hand-drawn content. But the last really big update was like, how long ago? For me, and looking at the thread on it, many others as well, that dude is milking his audience. Which I'm cool with, but I just stopped caring after the last "remade Jenny update". I started getting into DAZ two years ago and I not only spent a lot of money, but the learning curve was really steep at times. I'm still learning new things everyday. It's not just about owning a big rig and it's suddenly magically rendering itself. It's a lot of learning if you want stuff to look decent. One could even weaken your "big rig" comment with the fact that you could alternatively outsource your rendering to external render farms, which is even easier if you use Poser. It's not just rigging something and be done with it. There's a good reason why this devs games look way better than 90% of Renpy games out there.

And concerning CoBD, it being the benchmark, yeah, I absolutely agree with you. But for me, the beautiful, perfect (!) renders were just like watching X-Art in comparison to some real actual porn content. Too perfect, too artsy, just didn't strike a nerve with me. Everyone is different with what he wants. But hell, sure, Phillygames do deserve every dollar they get and more. But their game has been around since February and they are already up to almost 5000 bucks a month... I don't think Dreams of Desire was cashing those bucks after less than 6 months of being around. The 25k the dev makes are a testament to this dev actually finishing a project on a high level throughout. So some of your comparisons aren't completely fair I think.


I do think that most devs are in it for the money and not for expressing their art or inner thoughts. I also think that it shows, just based on who makes the most cash, that people want hot chicks and lots of fucking over some girls that are written so well that you could actually fall in love with them just by reading their lines. I can not remember too many girls where I'd say "yeah this chick is totally unique and I'd totally recognize her out of a crowd". They do exist, but they are rare just due to the nature of these games.

And dude, I think it's important to be critical, as openly as possible. We're in this forum to talk about these games. Just stated what I think and you did the same. I'm cool with all that.

Agree with you all the way. Except the hot chicks part. Most games have them and those base assets they're not hard to modify, purchase or pirate. I agree that his models are better than most, but's not enough to redeem a game that took about 8 months to get here. That's about 200,000 usd to get to this empty 0.3.1 version. Think about that amount. He could have spent more on better coders and wouldn't have had many of the issues he had.

Devs are in it for the money, absolutely. But when it feels like the game was designed entirely around money and what would attract more patrons, which is what this feels like, the comparisons to EA aren't off. Dev did mention the unity choice too was about locking parts for higher tiers, a DRM method to generate more money that backfired.

Icstor's in it for the money too, but he's not afraid to try something new fearing he'll lose a few dollars in support. LL seems to be driven by perfectionism and fear, a trap he can't seem to break free from.

I'm not in the loop of things concerning such stuff. All I can say is that he deserves all the cash he gets. But I guess LLs stuff just appeals to a wider audience. Or they show it off in more places on the web.

Play smart. Be methodical. Unlock Thorne first and foremost so that would be out of the way. Then basically stick to a location at home and skip time, each time of the day click the door. (or click on the girl who appears in the kitchen or Isa in the livingroom.) Repeat at a different location the other day and so on. This is a sandbox, there is no time limit. If there is an event tied to a location thats the fastest way to reveal it. Don't bother with the Logan's door but don't forget the bathroom and your own room.

Almost all devs. they now have a lot of patrons is due to their first game.. And now thank God there are better games and more competition. It is difficult to live your game if you launched it just a year ago.

Well if the game was grindy in 0.2/don't forget that 0.3 is actualy what should be 0.2/we have a problem.
I just point that nost sandbox games turn ugly around update 5.And we better don't go to that route.

Great animations. Actually, BEST animations of any games I played.
... But... Poor content imo, unfortunatly.

The content-unlocking-process is boring (only some repeating clicking on top of the screen until there is some new stuff), and poor story so far imo.
I DON'T like sandboxes systems, especially when you get this feeling : through your RANDOM clicks on some RANDOM rooms you advance RANDOMLY the story of some characters when you are not even sure if you missed some renters...

I still think you're doing something horribly wrong. You shouldn't need to be on day 88 to see all the content. Upload your savegame here I'll look into it.
