It's pretty simple.

Welp i guess, but still.
After they played Dod, shouldn they be exited for the new game, i just dont get it.

lots of peoples considered the end of DoD pretty terrible.
maybe alots of peoples also didnt think another game about another world is not good... its possible he would have keep them if he made some kind of DoD 2, or something similar.

i saw that happening too to another dev who end a very good game and started another one completly different.

but , whatever, not like a thousand of patrons lost made a huge difference to them.. still at almost 3K/month and probably the bigger patrons are still there.

(notice patreon also get some troubles with pledging and stuff.. that can be considerd too)

how can you know ? they dont show how much they got... and the amount of patrons doesnt mean the amount of money.

some game have 5000 patrons and get 6000$/month... while some others have 500 patrons and almost reach 10K/months. it all depend of the amount the patrons give.

and they hide it.

Unity makes sense if you do a real time 3D game, but Midnight Paradise doesn't need that, so Ren'Py would have been a far easier technology for this kind of project (plus lewdlab already had prior experience with Ren'Py). Unity was the wrong technological choice, that's why there so little to show after 5 or 6 months of work (work went into the engine and not on the story).

I usually dont like unity too...but im sure lewds will give us a great game.
dont ditch the game just cuz its unity, you´ll miss a masterpiece if u do ;D

like for all game, we'll see in few months. if its promissing like expected, patrons will come back.

Apart from that, god the MC is a dick, makes the DoD one look like an angel.

Not sure what to think of this. Nice animations, engine can be workable if done right, I know other devs have managed to make Unity work well for a game like this, sadly way more have failed.

I wasn't able to save anyway, so the problem with loading a save game didn't apply. The missing mouse pointer was distracting though, I kept moving outside of the game window.
And I never managed to get past the first dialogue choice. Not sure how slow you'd have to click for it to work, it's definitely to slow for me.

It would have probably been better for Lewdlab if this hadn't been leaked outside of the Beta testers,
