only the SERVER knows for sure.
yet, usually it is good to scroll through few latest pages, as the most recent issues (similar to that one) very likely are reported already, and there could be/is some kind of solution.
in this case - just a few posts back: #9,872

New update comes around April or May.
So last one wasn't even a real update and there will be no till April? That sounds... Strange given there's often been one a month or a little more.
I was surfing his Patreon but wasn't able to find anything about an update, where have you found the information?

He hasn't said when the update comes, but he told in October that he is taking a creative break from MP after v0.13, and that he get's back to work it sometime in January-February, if he is able to get his Dreams of Desires related small side project to good form in time. So knowing the devs and their delays, I would say he get's back to work Midnight Paradise in late February, takes about two months to finish a bigger update (plus that DoD side project releases in March 12th so he probably won't do two releases in same month) like with 0.12 since it's been a long time from last one and then releases it in April or early May.

Thanks, I completely missed the creative break part. That is one of the aspects holding me to become a subscriber to the devs of the few games I happen to like. I prefer to make a donation in the end IF the project is finished rather to give monthly a little amount of money just to see delays to no results at all depending on the dev. This isn't true for a few ones, of course, but the majority seems to fit this type.
I also have a question in my mind: I read quite often about these "creative breaks", what's there to break to?
When I was planning to develop a game by myself I contacted a friend of mine, magnificent artist, and a programmer, we all agreed the story had to be completed before even starting. So we did. Unfortunately the programmer had to move abroad for working reasons, my own activty went... Bad and the artist had to start working in his father's company and we didn't go over three demos (mostly for us and some our friends) with three different engines. The point is... If you do things as they're supposed to be done, there's no need to creative breaks, I think.
Just my two cents, as always.

He needed a break, because he had done monthly updates constantly the whole year 2020, thanks to COVID-19 and the lockdowns. If he would've kept the updates in every two or three months, there wouldn't been need for a break. What I have understood is that his working style was pretty wearing, since he did multiple all nighters without any sleep while creating those updates so he can get them done in time.

I really hop it will be not a completely new project. After all we are barely into the sex scenes in MP.And with the promise that MP won't end on v.0.18 but much later,I hope he won't start new long game.
It's not a new game, so all should be good.
