I use UnRen-forall.bat, personally.Two thoughts:
1- SR24 is not really continuing DSCS, it's a different game and saves are not compatible. It uses the same code and plays the same way but there are many differences that make it impossible to use saves from one game in the other game.
2- If you do a Google search for "enable developer mode in Renpy" you will find out how to do this by editing a particular file installed with the game. The console is part of developer mode.
Cheers!
Thanks, I appreciate your comments. I agree with you about abandoned games, some of my favorites including DSCS suffered that fate. I've learned to fear the words "all your decisions matter" because it means the developer creates more work for themselves over and over again. I am well aware of the issue and I'll do my best not to get there.Like what you are doing. Keep up the good work. I hope you keep at it, because to many good games get left unfinished here. i dont mind waiting for updates, i only hope it wont be the last. (unless the game is finished of course^^)
I appreciate the update and look forward to more of the VN quests in the future, but definitely not a fan of the relatively recent update that put searching for stuff behind an effectively in-game paywall. The additional cost of money along with action points to get a random chance of finding parts or bots is not an improvement in my opinion. I understand an action point cost for taking time and could understand a money cost for going to a better different location for an increased chance for better results, but changing the original situation of just AP to costing both is a negative QOL change. I know we talked about this before and your position is clear, so you don't need to repeat it or tell me to play another game, just wanted to vent it again, lol. It may seem like a minor thing, but my gameplay finds me regularly going to the dump and that money adds up quickly with often very little or nothing to show for it. Personally, a QOL update the game could really use is a way to increase the chance of finding specific or better quality parts earlier in the game, instead of just the option to buy them at Ray's online etc.SR24-0.11.2 took me longer than I expected but it's finally finished and should be included in 'Latest Updates' soon. As always, I post a link here first and you can always find the latest version in the signature on any of my posts.
This version includes a new quest called 'Friends with Benefits' and some new stats for the MC. The new quest is the personal side of the last quest called 'Good Neighbors' and in a perfect world they would have been released together. The 'readme' file included with the game includes a new section called 'development plan' which briefly explains how the game will progress in future versions. Also, there is information in the 'change log' file explaining that the new MC stats do NOT require you to start a new game.
The new quest starts automatically shortly after 'Good Neighbor' ends. Just continue playing or resume playing from a saved game and it will happen.
I'm taking a small risk with this version; there was no outside testing done and I've got my fingers crossed. I believe the risk is low, the new quest is a VN within the game and there is minimal interaction between the quest and other parts of the game.

Note: I believe the Android version is normal this time.
Cheers!
I'm glad you enjoy the VN, I'm worried it will turn people off since it's different from the rest of the game. As I've mentioned before, this project is a learning experience for me and in the future I hope to make games that tell stories with human interaction so I need to learn that too.I appreciate the update and look forward to more of the VN quests in the future, but definitely not a fan of the relatively recent update that put searching for stuff behind an effectively in-game paywall. Personally, the economy of the game is a confused issue and comments from other users seem to support that claim. I have always considered the action points to incorporate both time and basic expenses, like food and local travel costs, and money to be primarily for upgrading work related areas and extras like dating etc. The trick is to find the right balance of cost and return on investment of time and money and hopefully it will be addressed better in future updates to some degree.I'm glad you enjoy the VN, I'm worried it will turn people off since it's different from the rest of the game. As I've mentioned before, this project is a learning experience for me and in the future I hope to make games that tell stories with human interaction so I need to learn that too.On the other hand, I love the game play Radnor created in DSCS so I hope to be able to continue making odd hybrid games like SR24.
On the 'pay wall': You just won't give up on this one will you. Since you feel the need to vent give me the same privilege. In this game $20 per turn or $80 per day if you go to the district every single turn is not the difference between success and failure. I believe you are caught up in the principle of the thing. So am I: traveling long distances efficiently costs money so I put in what I believe to be a trivial cost. Can we just agree to disagree and not bring this up over and over again? Go ahead and write a rebuttal to this message so you have the last word but please make it the last word.
Regarding the frustration of finding parts at the dump. The odds of finding things in SR24 are exactly the same as they were in DSCS and I haven't noticed a lot of complaints about it. There have been 2 changes made at the dump, one positive and one negative. Both changes involve the quality of the bots you find not the frequency. It's a dump, people don't usually throw away good stuff.
About getting parts early in the game, there are 3 ways of going about it. First choice, hope you get lucky at the dump. Second choice, hope you find what you're looking for at the flea market which has better odds but you have to pay. Third, check the BBS frequently looking for discount parts which is all you can afford. Try to build up a small inventory of low quality parts of every type so you can patch up bots no matter what they need.
Sorry, maybe others agree with what you said but I don't: AP is time and money is money. I won't debate which monetary expenses are included in AP and which ones are not. Trying to anticipate the next protest, when the MC has more strength and stamina hence more AP it doesn't mean the length of a day changes. It means he does things faster and is more efficient with his time. When you get AP from housekeeper bots they clean your house so you don't have to use your time on that activity.Personally, the economy of the game is a confused issue and comments from other users seem to support that claim. My point, as you may recall, is that we started in game relatively close to the dump, which makes sense to be near a source of material, not travelling by a bus or train to get there, which makes no sense, particularly since you could end up with a few full bots to drag back to your place, if you get really lucky. My suggestion, which anyone should agree makes sense, was to keep the original dump location in the neighborhood as AP cost only and add a second or maybe more special locations that require money and maybe even a vehicle to get to, which would have a better drop rate of quality items for the additional expense, like a chip makers dump for CPUs. I understand your point of view of wanting to stay focused on your story elements and respect it, but can't promise I'm not going to bring it up again, lol.
Thanks, glad you're enjoying the game. The MC will have another opportunity to use specially trained bots like that in a future quest. It is near the end of the story line so it will be a while.I enjoy the game, I love how you can customize each bot to make them personal no matter what you assign them to do.
I really enjoyed the story where he had to make a bot to infiltrate the mafia. I am not so sure that would work again haha.
How ever, that bot that did infiltrate the mafia, maybe make more story about it? after all the player is the true owner of that bot, right? what if that bot continue to give intel to the player? maybe intel on the mafia boss was not really the "boss" but a boss of that area? that could open up new story, new sense of doom, maybe the urgency of moving? i let you ponder of ideas haha. But i like the game. i hope you continue it.
Sorry, with all the bot mods out there I wasn't planning on making more bots for the game. I have a tentative idea for E and F rated bots that are more primitive but it's not certain yet. There will be some special custom bots made for rich people in a future quest. If there is interest perhaps they could become part of the game but this isn't certain.at last ^^ i am always longing for new updatesthe only hope i have (i dont use any mods) that there will be more different sexbots in the future

hmm i see i was thinking something like: when MC reach S-Skills everywhere he sahs the knowledge to construct his "personal" Bot M/F and maybe with some special features dom/sub and of course its the first SS-Rank Bot. classified as E-Rank because nobody knows this design... and yes i am a great fan of Animes where E or F Rank adventures prevail with there super cheat skillSorry, with all the bot mods out there I wasn't planning on making more bots for the game. I like your idea! Sadly I have a roadmap that will already take over a year to implement and I can't afford to expand it. Expanding scope is a major reason games get abandoned. I wish I could do everything.I'd always wonder why that female police officer was never introduced to the MC by said bot in order to start something like a cooperation... afterall with the goons gone and the neighborhood watch being a resounding success you's expect someone to take notice.
Maybe creating something like Bot corps for the police... or at the very least some bots for cleaning/maintaining the nearby police station... maybe offering reliefe services for the cops.
Gaining favor with the law seems like a really good idea and obvious faction choice
