Or maybe close to being finished by now. Just look at Peasant Quest and Tinkerer, who created the game a year prior to SS's conception. The difference is night and day, one dev continues the grind while the other gave up once the money came in.It's not about hiring coders or people to do art. I usually take the position of my colleagues when it comes to developer vs customer battles, but SS has been here forever...heh, as much as I hate it, I'll have to use term "milking" in this case.
Like, the main story is finished, but there are dozens of character substories left to explore: the principal, sports teacher etc etc.
Instead of properly developing their branches and give to folks their stories, we get a remake. Why? Because it's easier)
When Summertime Saga came out, it stood out. But as of now it's just a sad story of what greed may turn once a great game into.
Should've been finished long, looong time ago.
I would wait at least another year to see any new content since the tech "update" has been getting worked on for at least 2 years. Not sure though. I only check in on this forum every few months to see the comments.so no new content dang, ill check back in 2 months
Probably another 5 years at the rate it's being worked on.Out of curiosity how long will it take to release the entire tech update.
so that people can have choices not everyone likes interacting with certain girls so only choosing one or 2 girls would make the game pretty boringserious q,
why western game dev hellbent on making so many girls characters when they can focus on one or maybe 2 and use all the resources to make variant, multiple scenes instead of a slop of multiple girls that we barely interact with. What a waste of time resource that the artist need to change the art style and body archetype and if it doesn't we gonna be blessed with the same face curse and thus making the point of "multiple" girls moot.
