To get to the point, many developers release monthly updates with small amounts of content. Naturally, people feel frustrated and write harshly about the game and the developer themselves. There are valid reasons for this—personal life, work schedules, and the fact that not everyone relies on this as their main source of income.

But! It’s important to recognize that some people are genuinely dishonest. I always advise waiting for confirmation before jumping to conclusions about a developer. Don’t rush to accuse them or throw around strong words. Instead, state your argument calmly and give the developer time for the next update.

Sometimes, people get exhausted from hate and burn out because of it—unrealistic audience expectations, insults, constant spam. They need time.

1210$ ??? that's roughly 1000€... monthly? If you guys go up to 1500€ monthly I'll do it from the begining, game completed in less than 6 months with updates every two weeks, and then onwards to BadBobby's Saga part 2...
Too tell the truth 2000$ monthly

Whats stopping you? If you can do as you say you'll make a lot more than Zip or any of the others who have taken on this and similar projects, after all only a tiny fraction of supporters continue to pay after so many disappointments.

But since you're so strong, do it!
I'm sure you'll easily get the €1,500 a month...
And start straight away with Bad Bobby 2, since 1 has already been reworked 5 times...

The game is GREAT, no very playable and unnecessarily long. This short restart shows, in my personal opinion, a new approach to the mechanics of the game. I wait, i think is worth it. Thanks for the work you´ve done so far! I´d only suggests clear time objectives, better to expect it for June and have it in May that the opposite.

I understand that this is a post in defense of Zip and his creration. :)
Unfortunately, man, his activity has been thoroughly analyzed over the years. Certain patterns of his habits are too repetitive that something was supposed to change. Zip burned out years ago if he ever cared.

You will get the announcement in June and you will receive it in May.. next year. Prepare for more or less such a scenario.

This kind of good faith would be relevant like 2 years ago, but at this point, Ziptiefun is setting himself up for all of these issues himself. Like, you can't count on your fingers how many times he has promised an update is coming in a week for it then to disapear. I have followed this game since the beginning, there has been at least 2 periods of 6 months with no updates, where he would still outright lie and say he had everything ready, just needed 1 more thing. The results never to be seen.

No one is expecting him to do anything for free, the problem is he is constantly failing his own deadlines, not even to the point of him missing them, but to the point of him never intending to make them in the first place. It is almost malicious in nature.

I only advocate for reasonable behavior and constructive communication. I do not defend specific individuals. I am not a lawyer. As for the developer, I can only base my judgments on the factual data available. Specifically, this informative message: 'Note: 0.15.502 & v0.15.503 have minimal content; most of the previous content has been removed by the Dev to be restored in later updates (starting with v0.15.504, apparently).' Beyond that, I have no other information. I see no reason to accuse the developer of deception until it becomes blatantly obvious. If a long time passes with no update and the developer disappears—then it’s all clear, and there’s no point expecting further content. There won’t be an update. Will I feel negatively toward the developer because of this? Absolutely not. The fact is, I haven’t spent a single dollar on a subscription. I’m a consumer of free content. The developer owes me nothing.

You could also factor in unforeseen circumstances in the developer’s own life—what’s going on with them? I have no idea; I don’t know them. But! I can imagine all sorts of personal hardships a person might face.

I want to clarify one thing regarding promises: I agree that it’s not good to make promises and then fail to keep them. Opinions may vary here—there could be real issues (as I’ve already mentioned), or the person might be dealing with depression. I’m not ignoring the fact that we’re all human, with our own complex social dynamics. Blaming someone is the easiest thing in the world; showing understanding is much harder. That’s my take:unsure:

Your post had a strong moralizing tone and as you yourself admit now, you base it on the last few weeks. In short, you have no right to lecture others who have much more knowledge in this field than you.

Does this sound like a lecture to you? This is just my opinion on the matter and a response to your take about defending the developer. Since when don't I have the right to speak up?! Did you personally revoke my right to voice an opinion?:ROFLMAO: I can absolutely understand someone who paid for a subscription. They have every right to make demands about deadlines and hold the developer accountable. That part I get.

No. :) You have the right to write whatever you want. Forgive me. ;) Maybe I'm just not used to this type of posts in this thread...
