i think the most concerning part (for me at least) is it goes from possible this month to a few months. Maybe they just want to give it a large window so people dont get antsy until the release is more final. either way back to waiting, plenty of other games to play till then. Here are all the status update posts from WWG's patreon for the last few chapters. This took me a little while to compile, so hopefully it's of use as a reference:

I will admit there's a pattern in the updates so far this year which does not instill confidence. I will continue to support WWG at this time, but I am concerned to say the least.
nop, nothing in at least a couple months, that what she/he saidso next month we can get the next update?
This doesn't make sense. He gets a refund less than 24 hours after request for refund even though the post said 5-7 days, and when banks are closed. Even if he used a credit card it still takes a couple of days. I worked retail and had to do card refunds and they are never this quick. Also one person confirmed they got their refund so april fools hopium is looking to be dead.
Kinda sucks, it would be the ultimate dick move even to his supporters (unless he disclosed that one before hand) but I agree. If it was me doing a prank like this, I would wait release April 1st. A good joke requires commitment.
As others have pointed out, WWG is not great at estimating when he'll be finished, but long time supporters (like me) are used to that and have accepted it. What's different this time is that WWG is NOT saying that he underestimated his remaining work. Questions like "how did one month of work turn into three?" are misinterpreting this situation. What he IS saying is that real life problems are getting in his way. He needs TIME to work on the game, but he doesn't know when he'll HAVE that time.i think the most concerning part (for me at least) is it goes from possible this month to a few months. guess that makes sense. for the record im not doubting WWG, or coming up with conspiracies, it just really surprised me. based on the quality of the game so far the dev can take all the time they need.As others have pointed out, WWG is not great at estimating when he'll be finished, but long time supporters (like me) are used to that and have accepted it. I don't know what his problems are and they're not my business anyway, but if (for example) it's something health-related, home-related, or even law-related, then I can understand why he has to put the game on the back burner, and why he may not know when it'll be finished.
It's absolutely fair to be skeptical of all this, as we've seen numerous developers make similar claims over and over until their reputation is ruined. I think WWG has been more honest and reliable than many devs, so for now I'm going to take him at his word, and just hope whatever's going on gets resolved as soon as possible.
As somebody said "carrot on a stick", If WWG wants more time then he should say that ahead of time but he chose to mislead his crowd into false hopehoping it is april fools, but to wait till the last minute to say it will take another few months is mental, he/she knew it would take this long and should have donea a progress update a week ago to say its change.
